The Supreme Reveal

Most of us enjoy parties and have likely been involved in many different types: birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, and graduations, to name a few. However, it wasn’t until 2008 that a new party theme caught on, called a “gender reveal” party, in which one celebrated the forthcoming birth of a child, and specifically, if the child was male or female. This “gender reveal” phenomenon caught on quickly, and we now have lavish affairs and some rather ingenious ways of celebrating this special event. 

But all of this is old news…God set forth some 2000 years ago His own “reveal” party, and He chose a manger over lavishness. This week’s message will look at what God revealed to us in the birth of Jesus in a sermon titled “The Supreme Reveal” based on the text of 1 John 4:9.
