The Ultimate Paradox

 As I sat down to prepare the message for this Sunday, I had to double check to see if my Bible had duplication pages! Just two Sunday’s ago I preached about how Jesus disciples didn’t inquire when he predicted his death, or how they rebuked others, how they didn’t understand that nothing is impossible with God, or how the last will be first…Yet those exact same themes come up again in the next chapter of Mark. Part of me was debating just preaching that same message again, but I’m not sure Pastor Kirk would have gone for that. We’ll talk this Sunday about Jesus interaction with a rich young man highlights the paradox of God’s ways versus man’s ways, and how as Jesus disciples we still struggle understanding all of this.
