The Yoke of Jesus

I head to the Boundary Waters in September with 5 other fellas and (Lord willing!) will enjoy a week full of fellowship, refreshment, and enjoyment of God’s creation. But this also includes work, primarily found in carrying everything needed for the week and 6 guys, which is no small endeavor! One of the heaviest items we carry is the “Food Bag” which holds all we will eat for the week. Nobody volunteers to carry this one initially, but as the week moves on it becomes one of the most sought after items to carry. Why? Because it gets LIGHTER every day!! 

We all carry burdens and for many they don’t seem to get any lighter. In our text this week Jesus speaks to this concept of burden and offers to us the key to making every burden light.
