Taking the Next Step

Of the many exciting and memorable moments of parenting, certainly one of the Top 10 is a child’s first steps. In many ways, this experience mirrors our lives in that a series of steps might define our journey in this life. From those first steps as a toddler, to the first day of school, to the first date, to the first set of car keys, to graduation, marriage, and so forth, life is a series of steps. 

Today commemorates a very important step, that of Confirmation. And while many steps have been taken to get to this point, many more are to follow, and our text this Sunday of Joshua 1:1-9 will highlight four of them.
